The normally sleepy and entertainment-starved town of Mt Darwin will tomorrow night awaken when Tocky Vibes stages a show at Luxury Hotel
This will be the first time that Tocky will perform in Mt Darwin after the release of his well received album “Toti Toti”.
A full house is expected at the hotel as Tocky’s followers from as far afield as Bindura and Dotito are expected to throng the venue for the gig dubbed ‘‘After Independence Party’’.
His manager Elvis Bokosha said they had been receiving calls from the different promoters asking them to visit remote areas.
“Since the release of the new stuff people have been calling in different parts of the country for our shows,” said Bokosha.
He said they have well prepared for the show as they have introduced a new feel to their music.
Last week the musician turned tables at Luciano gig as he was among the best local performers.
Songs from the new album that are likely to thrill fans are “Toti Toti”, “Hande Toki” and “Usarara Muka” that are making waves on the different radio stations.
Organisers of the event said they were bringing Tocky Vibes to Mt Darwin owing to public demand.
“Following the young sensation’s recent album release we felt fans also deserved a reunion with their favourite artiste,” he said.
He said Tocky Vibes will be supported by upcoming dancehall artistes and live bands from the province.
