Tocky Vibes to perform in Masvingo

George Maponga in Masvingo
The normally sleepy and entertainment-starved city of Masvingo will tonight night awaken when the musician stages a show at Liquids Club International. This will be the first time that Tocky will hit the ground running in Masvingo following his highly subscribed shows in the UK recently where he left fans crying for more.

A full house is expected at Club Liquids Bar International as Tocky’s followers from as far afield as Chiredzi, Gutu, Zaka are expected to throng the venue for the show dubbed ‘Back from Uk’.

Club Liquids bar manager Revai “DJ Rev” Tapambwa yesterday said they expected a full house to welcome the “Mhai” and “Tocky Aenda Nenyika” hitmaker.

Tapambwa said the new Club Liquids gardens will be unveiled at the Tocky show.

“We are expecting a full house and all is in place for what we think will be a contender of the show of the year. We have set up a new state of the art stage at the Liquids Gardens and we think it is befitting that Tocky Vibes will be the first one to perform there,’’he said.

“Our fans should come in large numbers because the Liquids Gardens is spacious and definitely this will be a show to remember for those who are going to make it,’’ added Tapambwa.

He said tickets into the show will be going for $5 per person adding that adequate measures have been put in place to make sure there were no problems for those who will be attending.

Club Liquids director Jack Chivanga said they were bringing Tocky Vibes to Masvingo owing to public demand.

“Following the young sensation’s recent exploits in the UK we felt that his fans in Masvingo also deserved a reunion with their favourite artiste who last performed in the city in October last year,’’said Chivanga.

He said Tocky Vibes will be supported by upcoming dancehall artists and live bands from Masvingo province.
