Zimbabwe National Road Administration chief executive officer Mr Frank Chitukutuku yesterday said the changes will be effected once new toll plazas under construction between the Plumtree–Mutare and Harare Road are completed.
He said this while giving oral evidence before the Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Transport and Communications chaired by Mutoko East MP, Cde Ordo Nyakudanga (Zanu-PF) on update on tollgates. The toll plazas, expected to be ready by September, said Mr Chitukutuku, will have booms that only open when a driver has stopped and record the type of the vehicle and amount it should pay.
