Tony G makes a comeback

One of Zimbabwe’s young and talented music producers , Anthony Mukanga affectionately known as Tony G in the music production scene makes a comeback with the release of his two new riddims ‘Native soul ’ and the ‘hyper riddim’ recently.Tony G took some time off to concentrate on his professional studies before joining ZIFM Stereo as a creative producer for radio Commercials.

The DJ said the two riddims would announce his come back on the music scene with more productions coming.

“In 2016 I have new plans and goals which have seen the setup of my production house for radio and TV commercials and also a come back to my first passion (music) hence throwing out the two riddims out there and see what fresh new talent is out there to work with,” he said.

He said he was looking for several other musicians to work with on the riddims.

“We want to have as many artists as we can on these two riddims. I hope that it will not just be about big names but upcoming artists as well,” he added. He is optimistic that the works will make an impact on the local music scene.

“If you take time away from the industry it is hard to convince people when you get back but these two riddims will say it all. I took my time to come with the creations and I am hoping music fans will definitely accept them,” he said.

“Tony G” is well known for his former Gweru based Baseline Studios where he produced several smash hits like “Kazevezeve” (Madiz), “Ndire Ndire” (Abisha Makombe), “Mubhedha” (Unique) and “Paunondinyerekedza” from Alexio “Gudchild” Gwenzi among others.
