No 10: Letladi Madubanya (AmaZulu)
He’s probably one of the most underrated midfielders in the League. He has a knack of scoring goals from midfield and has shown consistency over the years. Usuthu got him for free and without a doubt that was a bargain.
No 9: Onyekachi Okonkwo (Mpumalanga Black Aces)
Most Pirates fans were up in arms when he left judging by the comments on KickOff.com, and the reason is simple; he’s a quality midfielder and Aces will do well to build their team around him. He is obviously temperamental, so he could be a gun for hire.
No 8: Thuso Phala (SuperSport United)
Scores and creates goals — the sort of winger every team must have in their line-up.
There has been a suggestion that he may start on the bench early on in the season, but expect him to give defenders a run for their money when given the chance.
No 7: Cuthbert Malajila (Mamelodi Sundowns)
He got the goals for Maritzburg United and with due respect to United’s midfielders he will get better supply at Sundowns and that can only mean one thing; he’d probably score more than the 13 he scored last season.
No 6: Moeneeb Josephs (Bidvest Wits)
He may not be captain, but he will lead from the back and that Wits defence will be hard to break down.
No 5: Kennedy Mweene (Mamelodi Sundowns)
So the battle is on for Sundowns’ number 1 jersey — is it going to be Mweene or Wayne Sandilands? If Mweene takes it, expect him to keep it.
No 4: Bennett Chenene (SuperSport United)
Not much was said about him last season, even when it emerged that SuperSport had signed him as a free agent. Kick off.com
