A LEADING chartered accountant has been hit with a US$200,000 adultery claim by a former ZBC News Reporter who accuses him of allegedly having sex with his wife in places like South Africa and Madagascar.
Fungai Francis Tibugare, whose online profile shows that he works for Grant Thornton Zimbabwe, is the man at the centre of the fiery storm.
He is being sued by Musorowegomo Mukosi, a former ZBC News Reporter, who is now a businessman and farmer.
Lawyers representing Mukosi have slapped Tibugare with a US$200,000 adultery claim.
“In the circumstances, our client instructs us to demand as we hereby do the: (a) payment of US$IOO,OOO (One Hundred Thousand United States Dollars) being damages arising from contumelia inflicted upon his (the infringement of the right to privacy, dignity and reputation), for knowingly and intentionally having an adulterous relationship with our client’s wife.
(b). Payment of US$IOO,OOO (One Hundred Thousand United States Dollars) arising from the loss of comfort and services Of his wife as a result of your adultery with our client’s wife.
“Our client, Musorowegomo Mukosi, instructs us to engage you regarding payment of adultery damages arising from your extra-marital sexual relationship with his lawfully wedded wife, Esther Vimbainashe Mukosi (nee Jerera).
“That marriage was blessed with one minor child and it still subsists, though it is now on the rocks consequent to your adulterous relationship with our client’s wife.
“Our client advises us that you are married to one Victoria Tibugare (nee Chakanyara), with whom you have three minor children.”
Mukosi’s lawyer, Admire Rubaya, added:
“Our client advises that his wife has made it clear to him that you and she are soul mates, joined by love which runs deep, notwithstanding your status as a married man.
“She has boasted that you are a partner at Grant Thornton Zimbabwe, a renowned international accounting member firm of Grant Thornton International Limited, such that you have the necessary financial muscle to take her away from him as your second wife.
“You have allegedly claimed to be well connected in the corridors of power such that you are untouchable and nothing arising from your sexual shenanigans will befell you.
“Additionally, our client has, through investigations, obtained evidence to the effect that the two of you are currently studying at the University of Zimbabwe and you meet with her twice a week at 8 Umguza Road, in Cranborne, where you constantly indulge in unbridled sexual activity.”
Rubaya, in his letter, also said:
“As if that is not enough, our client has evidence of call logs showing constant communication, and triangulation records showing the places where you two have met for your sexual escapades.
“You have also taken the sexual escapades to the Republic of South Africa and Madagascar.
“You travelled together on the same flight wherein you sat next to each other in the flight on the 19 of July 2026, when you travelled to South Africa, and back to Zimbabwe on the 19th July 2026.
“Our client already has the flight schedules and CCTV footage showing the two of you travelling together and spending quality time in South Africa.”
