NEWLY formed karate style Kyukushin-Budokan Zimbabwe will host their inaugural interactive seminar at Waterfalls District Hall tomorrow. The style, which is led by sempai Maxen Mudeto through his Team Max Hotpot Dojo School, will host the seminar ahead of the 2024 season. The season is set to resume early next month and Mudeto said, they are looking forward to host a successfully seminar which is aimed at educating karatekas on discipline and abstinence from drug abuse.
“As a new organisation we are going to host our first seminar at Waterfalls Hall on Saturday from 8am to 3pm. The seminar is aimed at educating karatekas on the effects of drug and alcohol abuse among karatekas. We also need to emphasise on the need for discipline among athletes. The seminar will be attended by Zimbabwe Karate Union president Tawanda Mufundisi. “We are targeting a lot of participants from the age of three and we are expecting to have several shihans, sensei’s and children from the age of three.
“The aim is start the new organisation on a high note so that we train more athletes who will go on to represent the country.
“We are happy with the support we are getting from the parents and the association,” said Mudeto.
