IT will be a battle of table toppers in the Mashonaland Central Division Two B League when log leaders Rosa Pirates take on second-placed Mutukwa Academy at Kanyemba Secondary tomorrow afternoon.
The match carries an extra sub-plot as coaches Zacks Kataya and Kifton Kadurira renew their rivalry from the dugout.
The two used to clash in ZIFA Northern Region Division One when Kataya was in charge of Bindura United and Shamva Mine while Kadurira had stints with Ngezi Platinum Stars.
Kataya believes they still have a lot to play for and the game away to Mutukwa Academy is not an easy one.
“We are ready for the challenge and we know what lies ahead as the opponent is so ambitious and a good side. We look forward to a competitive match, but the boys are ready.
“We worked hard throughout the week and after last week’s 3-0 win over third placed Ngula Ngula our team is motivated,” said Kataya.
Kadurira, who has built a reputation of identifying young talent is expecting a tough challenge but will bank on home support.
“I think it is one of the biggest game of the season, but we are well prepared for it. They have been doing well throughout the race but we are also looking forward to do well and go for the playoffs.
“We hope the home support will be key and we encourage all our supporters to turn out in their numbers,” said Kadurira.
