Cowdray Park suburb is set to reverberate with Rhumba sounds on Thursday, with the cream of the genre serenading fans during the groundbreaking ceremony of the Maqhoba Chef De Grand Smart City.
Organised by the Community Development Committee, the free show will feature Clement Magwaza, man of the moment Mxolisi Mr Bones Ndlovu, the loved Insimbi ZeZhwane, energetic Godolude, Mlambos Express Band, Ndux Junior, Dubia Masters, Cosmas Mpofu, Thawulo Skuza, Abigail Mabuza and Chase Skuza among others.

Community Development Committee Secretary Mr More Mangena said this was not a show to miss.
“We will be doing a ground breaking ceremony for the Maqhoba Chef De Grand Smart City which will be located from Ema Ten in Cowdray Park to Nyamandlovu road. We are bringing these artists to tap o their huge following as we want the people to come and learn more about this project,” he said.

Mr Mangena said the live show will start at 10 am to 6pm giving members of the public good time to enjoy the show after the ground breaking ceremony.
He said the new smart city will help decongest Bulawayo as there will be a number of services to be offered.
“The smart city will feature an industrial park, Hotels, banks and education institutions among others. We will engage Umguza Rural District Council to more land for its expansion so that it’s a well-established city,”
Chase Skuza promised fans fireworks during the live show.
“We will give our 100 percent because am the elder in the music industry. When am on stage am home and I don’t have a fear because music runs in our blood as the Skuza family. We are also busy working on our new album called Inhlonipho which we hope to release in the coming months,” he said.
TK of Dubia Masters who always bring a different fill to Rhumba shows by mixing his craft with Pantsula daces said they are busy preparing.
“We are busy preparing for the show, they should come and see Jesiyakhe live on stage .We have not performed in many places in Bulawayo and I know our fans are hungry to see us. They will not be disappointed,” said the gifted guitarist.
Mxolisi Mr Bones whose track Bangihlangabeze nge case aka Faka two phezu kwebhodlela said he is ready.
After relocating from South Africa to Zimbabwe, Mr Bones has been in high demand crisscrossing Matabeleland.
“I encourage our fans to come and watch us live and we will play them their loved songs without fail. I know some have never see us live and since this is a day show it will give even the elderly an opportunity to enjoy the show,” he said.
