Tourism Board under probe

Environment, Climate, Environment and Tourism Minister Mangaliso Ndhlovu has appointed a five-member committee to investigate allegations against the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority board of unlawfully receiving Covid 19, holiday and grocery allowances.

The committee will be chaired by Mr Simon Masanga, permanent secretary in the Ministry of Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare.

Minister Ndhlovu made the announcement in the Government Gazette published today under General Notice 73 of 2023 in terms of the Public Entities Corporate Governance Act.

The ZTA board is chaired by Mr Ray Mawerera who is deputised by Dr Precious Sibiya.
