THE Alliance Française is hosting its first Friyay of the year on Friday.
The concert, which features a diverse range of gifted artists, will be headlined by The Travellers Band and Saxo Pash.
The Alliance’s director, Fanny Gauthier, said they want to make it an unforgettable experience since it is their first event of the year.
Gauthier said those who are attending can look forward to an evening filled with dynamic performances, engaging interactions, and a celebration of the power of music to bridge cultural divides.
“This will be the first Friyay of the year and we are expecting a huge crowd as we are prepared and sure that people will have a good time.
“The reason for selecting The Travellers Band is because these guys are good and we thought it would be a nice way to start the year.
“Every time we do the events, the band is always different,” she said.
The Friyay music is held monthly and has become a celebration of the diverse yet interconnected musical traditions across Africa.
The event exemplifies the mission of the Alliance Française in Harare, which promotes the French language and celebrates cultural diversity in the country.
By bringing together musicians, from various genres and backgrounds, the Alliance Française promotes inclusivity and artistic exchange, enriching the local cultural landscape.
The event is expected to attract a diverse audience, including music enthusiasts, cultural aficionados, and members of the local community eager to experience the vibrant sounds and rhythms of Africa.
