Trial date set for Britons found with US$669k dagga

A TRIAL date has been set for two Britons who were caught  last month at Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport in possession of 124 packs of dagga worth US$669 000.

Prosecutor Mr Lancelot Mutsokoti advised the court  that the trial would start on June 16.

The suspects, Tihaise Darlin Elisha (18) and Taylor Tamara Simone (20), both from Birmingham, United Kingdom, are facing charges of unlawful possession of dangerous drugs.

They are being represented by lawyer, Mr Claude Bare.

The duo has applied for bail, and ruling will be delivered on June 10 before Harare regional magistrate Mrs Marehwanazvo Gofa.
