RICHARD Kawondera and Tinei Chitora shared four goals and Blessing Maziwisa put the icing on the cake as Triangle destroyed Buffaloes in this Castle Lager Premiership tie at Gibbo yesterday.

The win gave coach Biggie Zuze something to smile about after a poor run by his charges coming into this game. “It’s very good winning against a team like Buffaloes, they are up there and we are coming from a very bad spell,” said Zuze.

“Scoring five and conceding once is good and I am very happy for the boys and our die-hard supporters.”
Triangle came into the game in attacking mode with their midfield controlled by returning hardman Charles Makoto, Muchineripi Muneri and newboy Hillary Bakacheza impressive.

Kawondera put the hosts ahead after five minutes and then completed his brace in the 65th minute before making way for Maziwisa with 15 minutes to play after he was injured.

Buffaloes linkman Prosper Matizanadzo, was given his marching orders for a second bookable offence in the 59th minute.
Jacob Muzokomba scored the visitors’ consolation with five minutes left to play after David Sengu was penalised for a foul inside the box.

But, by then, the writing was on the wall for Buffaloes, who have now conceded five goals in a match for the second time this season after leaking five times in their match against Hwange at the Colliery.
