Award winning artistes Jah Prayzah and Alick Macheso are scheduled to perform at late musician Tasarina Chibaya’s tribute at Musopero Gardens in Gweru on May 1.

Blessing “Tasarina” Chibaya died tragically in a car accident on April 18 together with ZBC technician Vitalis “PD” Mugove. A tribute show for the late songstress has been organised by popular promoter Patison “Chipaz” Chimbodza.

“The upcoming event is a tribute to the late Tasarina Chibaya and to help us celebrate her life are Jah Prayzah and Alick Macheso will perform this coming Friday at Musopero Gardens in Gweru.

“Tasarina’s band BMT will also perform without their lead vocalist in memory of her which will be very tough on them but worth it,” Chimbodza said.

Jah Prayzah worked with the upcoming musician Tasarina who once curtain raised for him at the Village lodge in Gweru Tasarina and the BMT band had recently released their afro-jazz debut album “Zvakarongeka” at Book Café. She has been described as singer with a very bright future whose premature death has robbed the industry and the nation.
