The Beitbridge-based side won promotion from the Zifa Central Region last season and have already begun their preparations.
Triple B coach, Friday Phiri said their preparations have started on a low key note but he is hopeful they will gather momentum and could climax with a four team tournament in February.
“We have started our preparations but it has been very slow. Our preparations have not yet picked and we still have most of the old guys from last season. The idea is to trim our squad from last season so that we remain with about 14 players then we recruit a few quality players,” said Phiri.
Five of the players in their 30-men squad will be drawn from the Under-20s.
Phiri, a former CAPS United player, said a number of seasoned players have expressed interest in joining the side.
“So far we have Tapiwa Mafunga, the goalkeeper who was with Buffaloes last season and we are still talking to him. We might have to consider Eddie Chafungamoyo and Marvel Samaneka.
“John Kapenya is also here and these are the type to players whom I think could add depth to our squad as we aim to survive in the Premiership,” said Phiri.
As part of their preparations, Phiri is hopeful that his side will be able to invite the other newly promoted Premiership teams.
“If all goes well, we should be playing a four team tournament.
“We hope to invite the champions from Northern Region (Black Rhinos), Southern Region (How Mine) and Triangle.At the moment we are considering how we can plan around this tournament. These are the type of games that will give us an opportunity to gauge our strength,” said Phiri.
