‘Trouble Causer’ in court for assault

POPULAR comedienne Chipo “The Trouble Causer”, real name Donna Chasaya, appeared in court yesterday for assaulting a workmate .

Chasaya (31) and her two accomplices Candice Chiseya (18) and Everlyn Chandengenda (30) appeared before Harare magistrate Ms Lynne Chizhou.

They pleaded not guilty.

The trio was granted $50 bail each and will return to court on May 13.

State prosecutor Ms Takudzwa Chitenderu alleged that the complainant Precious Chigodora (22) on Wednesday at around 10.30am and at number 7 Chelmsford Road, Belgravia, Harare was in the company of her friend, Tatenda Kambizi on her way to Belgravia shops when she saw the accused persons seated at the front yard benches.

Chasaya approached Chigodora accusing her of tarnishing her image on Facebook and they started to exchange words. Chasaya allegedly went on to push her and she fell on the ground.

While she was still on the ground the other two accused persons kicked her several times and Chandengenda slapped her on the left cheek.

She filed a report at the police station leading to the arrest of the three accused persons.
