Tsogorani laid to rest

zanu-pf Kadoma Women’s Quota House of Assembly member Cde Johana Tsogorani, who died on Monday, was buried at Kadoma Cemetery yesterday. Cde Tsogorani (43) died at West End Clinic following respiratory complications.

Speakers described her death as a loss to zanu-pf and the nation.

War veterans Mashonaland West province vice chairman Cde Mark Dube, castigated rumour-mongering in the party.

“People are busy gossiping about others. That is retrogressive. People should work to protect the legacy of President Mugabe and not seek to destroy it,” he said.

Politburo member Cde Prisca Mupfumira, said it was only God who knew the time when someone was supposed to die.

“We have to accept when someone dies because it is the law of life that we all have to die at some point,” said Cde Mupfumira.

Some youths were singing accusing some party members of having caused the death of Cde Tsogorani through spreading malicious lies.

Kadoma Central Member of the House of Assembly Cde Fani Phiri, said Cde Tsogorani was a victim of the politics of malice.

“Let’s work to tame the demon of disunity and disharmony in the party and especially here in Kadoma,” he said.

Makonde Women’s quota representative Cde Jennifer Mhlanga, said Cde Tsogorani was respected by many in the province.

Acting chairman Cde Ephraim Chengeta, said people should work to develop the party.

Her sister Inviola Mashoko, said she was a pillar of strength to the family.

“It’s a great loss to the family. She had problems breathing in recent days. We did not expect that it will get to this sad end,” she said.
