Medecins Sans Frontieres invited musicians on board as music is treated as a universal tool that can be used to communicate with anyone in the world.
During the launch, Chiwoniso was part of the entertaining team and she took her fans down memory lane when she played one of her favourite songs Mugarandega.
Chiwoniso used the platform to use her lyrics to tell her fans that HIV and Aids is real and it can kill and how it can be transmitted from mother to child.
Fans enjoyed the beat as the princess of mbira was doing what she knows best on stage.
Soon after Chiwoniso’s performance, Tuku took over and played Todini, a song which asks questions on what can be done about the Aids scourge.
Soon after Tuku had finished singing his song the two artistes performed Chiwoniso’s Nhema Musasa.
The products that were launched by the organisation were campaigning for four objectives that included paying tribute to a generation of children, adolescents, mothers who are living positively with HIV and Aids.
The documentary has got patients who are on treatment getting better within a short space of time.
The material is going to be used to raise awareness on the consequences of the funding instability from the donor community.
The launch was also meant to educate people on different methods of curbing the spread of HIV/Aids through mother to child transmission.
The music project has songs from support groups from Bulawayo and Tsholotsho.
Besides Chiwoniso and Tuku, other international artistes that collaborated on the album are Alejandro Sanz, Juan Luis Guerra, Carlos Vives and Estelle.
