THE ZANU-PF Manicaland Provincial Coordinating Committee (PCC) has recommended the co-optation of the Presidential Adviser on Investment, Dr Paul Tungwarara, to the Central Committee.
The PCC met today at Mutare Girls High School and unanimously passed the resolution.
Dr Tungwarara is earmarked to replace Cde Dorothy Mabika, who stepped down earlier this year and was subsequently elected chairlady of the Manicaland Women’s League.
The nomination for Dr Tungwarara was made by provincial Youth League member, Cde Victoria Saunyama, and subsequently seconded by the Makoni District Coordinating Committee chairman, Cde Kudzi Chipanga.
The packed gallery responded with song, dance, whistling, and ululation.
Dr Tungwarara was subsequently invited into the meeting, after the recommendation was unanimously agreed upon.
He accepted the recommendation, promising to support the party’s programmes in the province.
