Twenty months in jail for dealing in cocaine

A 62-year-old man has received a 20-month sentence for drug dealing after he was caught with two grammes of cocaine.

Clemence Joe Zacks was convicted by Harare magistrate Ruth Moyo.

She sentenced him to 24 months, four of which were suspended on condition that he doesn’t commit a similar offence in the next five years.

CID Drugs detectives received information on April 27 that Zacks was dealing in cocaine in Chadcombe.

They conducted a surveillance operation.

The police caught Zacks at his gate, just as he was about to sell drugs to a client, and questioned him. Zacks was found with cocaine in his possession and was arrested.
