THE Twins Association of Zimbabwe is set to join other nations in celebrating International Twins and Multiple Births Day on Sunday.

Farai Lawyer Katonha and Tendai Mayor Katonha, who lead the continental body representing twins, said the celebrations were expected to be held at Harare Gardens.

The celebrations will run under the theme “Improving The Welfare And Life of the Multiple Birth Community.”

“As Africa Twins and Multiple Births Association leaders, we are pleased with the preparations made so far ahead of the celebrations.

“We are happy to announce that Africa twins and multiple birth members are ready to celebrate in various countries around the continent.

“Here in Zimbabwe, a number of activities have been lined up to entertain the members as they share ideas,” said the Katonha twins.

Katonha twins said the event was being held under a dark cloud following the death of two-year-old twins Jacob and Lincoln Gono who were burnt to death when their house caught fire in Chimanimani.
