THE two Bulawayo City councillors implicated in an alleged US$52 000 scam involving Deputy Mayor Councillor Edwin Ndlovu have arrived at the Bulawayo Magistrates’ Court, where they are being processed for their initial remand.
Councillors Mxolisi Mahlangu and Ashton Mhlanga arrived at the court on Thursday morning in connection with the allegations.
The two were arrested Wednesday after presenting themselves to the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (Zacc) in Bulawayo as investigations into the matter continued.
They are expected to appear before a magistrate for their initial remand proceedings.
The development comes as Clr Ndlovu, Clr Ntandoyenkosi Ndlovu and former councillor Alderman Rodney Jele are already before the courts facing allegations arising from the same matter.
