IT will be a battle of seasoned runners in two future races – The Nadia Farina Silver Slipper over 1800 meters and the 2000 meters Changa Breeders Champions Cup – on the card at Borrowdale Park tomorrow.
The Changa Breeders Champions Cup line-up will have Lily Blue, who will be making her second appearance after campaigning down South, Finchatton and Wantage.
Yarraman, Fareeq and Heir Line will complete the Changa Breeders Champions Cup field.
Finchatton, fresh from his Ipi Tombe Stakes victory over a mile, carries top weight in the Breeders Champions Cup, and the field includes last year’s winner, Wantage, as well as Bugatti Blue who ran third to Peggson in 2020.
Yarraman finished 3.50 lengths off Wantage in 2021 and claiming apprentice Walter Shumba will ride tomorrow.
Silver Slipper will be the second leg of Zimbabwe’s Triple Tiara and Guineas winner, Call The Wind already has the first leg, after winning the 1600 meters Fillies Classic.
Also coming on the starting field will be This is Midfield Girl, by Alado (GB) who has been placed twice at Turffontein over 1600 meters and two-time winner Tigers Eagle who has not met Call The Wind before.
With four runners accepted, Ian’s Ferrari will complete the field.
