Two Great Zimbabwe University (GZU) students tragically perished in a horror road accident along the Masvingo-Harare highway while on the way to their graduation ceremony in Masvingo yesterday.
The unnamed died after a vehicle that was carrying 3 GZU students-including the 2-rammed into the back of a truck infront of them.
GZU Director of Information Mr Anderson Chipatiso confirmed the unfortunate incident.
“I can confirm the death of two of our students yesterday in a road accident as they were coming to Masvingo to attend today’s graduation ceremony where they were also due to graduate,” said Mr Chipatiso.
“For now we cannot disclose the identity of the deceased as their families need to be notified first.”
Mr Chipatiso said exact details surrounding the horror crash were still to be gathered.
