TWO teenagers are up for murder after they allegedly attacked and killed a 33-year-old man in Southlea Park following an argument over a commercial sex worker.
The two beat up Nelson Chiripanyanga before stabbing him with a sharp object.
National police spokesperson, Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the incident.
“Police in Southlea Park are investigating a case of murder in which two male juveniles aged 17 and 16 fatally attacked the victim, Nelson Chiripanyanga aged 33, with fists and an unknown sharp object after an argument over a lady of the night,” he said.
Meanwhile, police in Marondera have arrested Knowledge Kapesa (36) in connection with a case of murder that occurred at Rasternburg Farm on July 27.
It is believed that Kapesa is mentally challenged.
The suspect hit his father, Manuel Kapesa (76) with stones on the head after the latter had refused to give him sweet potatoes. The victim died on the spot.
In another case, police in Gwelutshena have arrested Fanuel Dube (45) in connection with a case of murder that occurred on July 26 in Makuthi Village, Sembeule.
The suspect struck Nothando Dube (45) with an axe on the head and back several times for unknown reasons.
The victim died on the spot.
Police in Lusulu, Matabeleland North, are also investigating another case of murder that occurred on July 24 in Siamputeni 9 Village when Zenzo Ncube (39) struck his wife, Zenzele Sibanda (34) to death.
Ncube hit Sibanda with a hammer on the head following a domestic dispute.
The suspect went on to commit suicide.
