Police are appealing for information which might lead to the identification of two men who were killed in separate hit and run accidents in Harare.One of them was killed near the intersection of ED Mnangagwa Road and Pauline Drive while the other one died in Waterfalls over the weekend.
National police spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi said they were looking for the motorists who did not stop following the accidents.
“The Zimbabwe Republic Police is appealing for information which may assist to identify the body of a man aged approximately between 39 and 46 who was involved in a hit-and-run road traffic accident which occurred at corner ED Mnangagwa Road and Pauline Drive, Harare on October 5 between 1.30am and 2.40am.
“The victim is dark in complexion, medium built and was wearing a pair of grey jean trousers, a grey t-shirt with small dots, a blue jacket and black tackies. The body is at Parirenyatwa Hospital mortuary,” he said.
Meanwhile, Police in Harare are investigating another hit-and-run road traffic accident in which a man aged 36 was hit by an unknown motorist at the intersection of Malvin Road and Forbes Road in Waterfalls on November 5, 2023.
The victim sustained bruises on the eye and nose. The motorist did not stop after the accident.
