Tyla gets her own Bratz doll inspired by her Met Gala and stage looks

Tyla and Bratz have officially teamed up, with the South African singer becoming the latest celebrity to receive a collector doll inspired by her signature fashion moments.

The announcement brings a long-running fan conversation full circle.

In 2024, Tyla shared a fan-made Bratz-inspired image of herself on social media and wrote that she hoped to have her own doll one day. That prediction has now become reality.

The collector edition features two outfits that draw directly from some of her most recognisable looks.

One is based on the sculptural Balmain “Sands of Time” dress she wore to her first Met Gala in 2024, complete with a miniature version of the hourglass-shaped handbag that accompanied the outfit.

The second look reflects her performance style, pairing a sequinned mini skirt with a crop top and a gold chain belt featuring a Bratz charm.

The doll also recreates Tyla’s braided bob hairstyle, a look that has become closely associated with the Grammy-winning artist.

The launch arrives at a particularly busy moment in her career. Tyla’s second studio album, “A*Pop”, is scheduled for release on July 24 and includes 14 tracks. The album features previously released songs such as “Is It”, “She Did It Again”, and “Chanel.”

The Bratz x Tyla collector doll will make its first in-person appearance at the Bratz pop-up shop inside FAO Schwarz at Rockefeller Plaza in New York on 24 July 2026, the same day that “A*Pop” is released.

For Tyla, the collaboration is more than a merchandising deal.

It places her alongside a growing list of global celebrities who have been reimagined as Bratz dolls and reflects how strongly her fashion identity has become part of her international appeal.

What began as a fan-made concept has become an official collector’s item, arriving at a pivotal moment in the singer’s rise on the global pop stage – IOL
