AS the inaugural Carling Black Label DJ Clash national finals draw near, the stage is set for an electrifying showdown featuring 24 talented DJs from across Zimbabwe. The highly anticipated event, taking place at the Zimbabwe International Exhibition Centre Hall 3 in Bulawayo next Friday, promises a night of fierce competition and top-notch musical performances.

Adding to the excitement, renowned South African artistes Tyler ICU, the mastermind behind the hit track “Mnike” and Toss, known for the Umlandu hit, are set to grace the event as guest artistes. Their presence is expected to elevate the atmosphere, ensuring an unforgettable experience for attendees.

In a recent Press statement, Delta Beverages, the organisers revealed the list of DJs who have qualified for the finals thus far, with the Harare North qualifiers yet to be announced pending their clash set for Eclipse Pub and Grill on Friday. The organisers outlined that a closed-door panel of judges is evaluating and selecting the best 24 mixtapes per region.

DJs from Bulawayo, Harare North, Harare South, Chitungwiza, Chinhoyi, Gweru, Masvingo, and Mutare will face off on December 22 in a high-energy clash of beats and rhythms.

The battle for the ultimate prize is fierce, consisting of US$3  00, a laptop, controller, cordless microphone, and sound monitor. The first runner-up will be awarded US$2 000, along with studio monitors and a cordless microphone. The stakes are high, with consumers of Carling Black Label, also having the opportunity to cast their votes for the best DJs through a sound meter.
