TENNIS Zimbabwe has conducted its Junior Tennis Initiative (JTI) orientation for 173 primary and secondary school teachers drawn from all the provinces of the country in their quest to take the sport to the communities.
The orientation was facilitated by the TZ tennis coaches’ examinations coordinator and former Davis Cup captain Martin Dzuwa and JTI co-ordinator Linsent Chitiyo.

Tennis Zimbabwe recently partnered with the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education in the implementation of the Junior Tennis Initiative through the Zimfit Program.
Under the programme, teachers are expected to play a key role in identifying and developing tennis players at the grassroots level in every corner of the nation, as they aim to build “from grassroots to grand slams.”
