BEITBRIDGE-based driving company Ubuntu Driving School has paid tribute to the community for its growing support, which enabled the business to scoop the “Best Emerging Driving School of the Year” award at the recent 2025 Matabeleland Sundrive Provincial Awards hosted by Sundrive Coalition.

The driving school began operations in April this year and has already earned recognition for its competitiveness, ranking ahead of several rivals vying for the same award.

In its remarks, the company said its operations are deeply rooted in its motto: “I am because we are”, emphasising that its success would not have been possible without the contributions of community members committed to working together.

The business expressed gratitude to stakeholders for their immense support, which has contributed to its positive functionality and operational success.

Ubuntu Driving School manager, Ms Rachel Ndebele, said their main goal is to produce competent and certified drivers who practise road safety and demonstrate good driving skills.

“Besides winning the Best Emerging Driving School of the Year award, we have achieved excellent results in both oral and practical tests, which have given us significant visibility.

“This award has also helped us gain recognition beyond Beitbridge. We are receiving calls from other towns and cities asking when we will extend our services to them. The award shows that we have truly grown as an emerging driving school, and we are confident that we will continue to grow and expand to other parts of the country,” she said.

Mrs Ndebele stressed that although they won the award, it reflects the unwavering support of the Beitbridge community. She emphasised that the company will continue to offer the best services as it grows.
