Parks public relations manager Ms Caroline Washaya-Moyo on Monday said shortage of funding was hampering progress.
She said there was need to bring in partners to complete the project.
“The issue of the spreading of foot-and- mouth from buffaloes to cattle around the Gonarezhou National Park requires a holistic approach involving all the key stakeholders including the parks authority, the Veterinary Department and others,” she said.
There has been a significant increase in the number of villagers staying around the Gonarezhou National Park, which is part of the Great Limpopo Transfrontier Park, raising fears of the swift spread of foot and mouth from the mixing of wildlife and cattle.
