Ungrateful grandson taken to court

Herald Correspondent

An elderly Harare man has dragged his grandson to court seeking a protection order against him due to bad behaviour.

Mr Patrick Disban dragged his grandson, Sean Tavengwa, to the civil court, saying he was fed up with such bad behaviour.

Tavengwa appeared before Harare Civil magistrate Ms Tamara Chibindi yesterday.

Mr Disban told the court that Tavengwa comes back home drunk, well after midnight and causes unnecessary commotion.

“Every time he comes he asks my children to open the door for him. He is not responsible enough to keep the house safe but rather, uses it for his benefits,” said Mr Disban. Tavengwa did not object to the application. Ms Chibindi granted the order in favour of Mr Disban.
