Unifreight Africa Limited has approved plans to delist from the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange (ZSE) and pursue a listing on the Victoria Falls Stock Exchange (VFEX), adding to a growing number of companies seeking to migrate to the US dollar-denominated bourse.

In a cautionary statement, the transport and logistics group said its board had approved the proposed move, although the transaction remains subject to the completion of regulatory processes.

“Shareholders and the investing public are hereby advised that the Board of Directors of Unifreight Africa Limited wishes to advise shareholders and the investing public that, the Board of Directors has approved the delisting of the Company from the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange, immediately followed by its listing on the Victoria Falls Stock Exchange.

“Further details of the transaction will be provided to Shareholders once all regulatory processes have been finalised.

“Accordingly, Shareholders are advised to exercise caution and consult their professional advisors when trading in the Company’s shares.”

The proposed migration comes amid renewed corporate interest in VFEX, where companies can trade and settle shares in United States dollars.

Recent developments include TSL Limited, which completed its migration to VFEX in July 2026, becoming the exchange’s 20th listed company,

Dairibord Holdings Limited has also announced plans to delist from the ZSE and pursue a VFEX listing, while Ariston Holdings approved a proposed migration in September 2026, subject to shareholder and regulatory approvals.

The trend reflects efforts by companies to explore alternative funding opportunities, improve access to foreign currency-denominated capital and broaden their appeal to regional and international investors.

In April 2026, the ZSE and VFEX introduced streamlined procedures intended to ease certain migrations between the exchanges, potentially reducing administrative hurdles for qualifying companies.

For Unifreight shareholders, further details on the transaction and the completion of regulatory requirements will be important in determining the implications of the proposed move.

The planned migration adds to the evolving structure of Zimbabwe’s capital markets as listed companies assess which platforms best meet their financing needs and shareholders’ interests.
