Italian journalist Tancredi Palmeri says that the Red Devils have acted on their interest with a huge offer to tempt Neymar to come to England.
Palmeri explains that United have told Neymar that they will break records for any transfer fees or wages paid if he heads to Old Trafford.
The report claims that United are prepared to pay double Gareth Bale’s world-record £90m fee and pay Neymar double Wayne Rooney’s £300 000-a-week wage.
Palmeri said: “Manchester United have made a proper offer to Neymar.
“They have been talking in the last month with Neymar’s dad, especially in the last weeks, especially during Christmas time.
“Manchester United told Neymar that they are ready to break any world transfer record fee.
“Which means double what was paid for Gareth Bale, or maybe Neymar.’’ — The Daily Star.
