POLICE in Hwange are investigating a case of suspected murder after a 32-year-old reveller was found lying in a pool of blood by the roadside close to a drinking spot with serious stab wounds all over the body.
Matabeleland North police spokesperson Inspector Glory Banda confirmed the incident and identified the now deceased as Emmanuel Muvengwa.

He said he was found lying five metres away from a GVZ Leisure Centre along Bulawayo-Victoria Falls Road on Monday at around 7am by a security guard employed at the leisure centre.
The matter was reported to the police who immediately attended the scene and investigations revealed that the now deceased had been seen at GVZ Leisure Centre around 1am drinking beer with other patrons.
“When the security guard spotted the now deceased, he was still unconscious while bleeding profusely from deep stab wounds inflicted by what appeared to be a very sharp object.
He was ferried to St Patrick’s Hospital for immediate medical attention but he died later during the day,” said Insp Banda.

He said the deep stab wounds were discovered on his forehead, stomach and left arm. He added that police have intensified investigations into the case and appealed to anyone with information that might lead to the arrest of the suspects to approach the police.
“We are appealing to members of the public with information that may lead to the arrest of the accused person or persons. We also advise the public to value the sanctity of human life and desist from engaging in violence as it is not a good way of solving conflicts,” said Insp Banda. – @5_Shannico.
