Proverbs 25:2 says: “It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but it is the glory of kings to search out a matter.”
This verse reminds us that, while God’s ways are often mysterious, it is our responsibility to seek understanding and wisdom.
In Job 10:13, Job expresses his confusion, but also acknowledges that God has reasons and purposes that may not be immediately apparent.
This humility is essential in our own lives.
As we navigate life’s journey, we are invited to approach these mysteries with humility, recognising that God’s glory is revealed in both what is hidden and what is revealed.
As seekers of wisdom, we are called to explore, question and seek understanding.
We should not simply accept things at face value.
Those “whys” in our lives have divine answers and we can trust that all things work together for the good of those who love God.
While some things are beyond human understanding, God’s presence and peace can still be a constant source of comfort and strength.
Delicate balance
It is a delicate balance: trusting God’s sovereignty while also pursuing knowledge and wisdom.
Sometimes, God’s concealment is a form of protection or preparation.
Just as Jesus was hidden in Egypt for safety after His birth, God may hide certain things from us for our own benefit, growth or greater good.
Trusting His plan and timing is key. Have faith in God.
