UPDATE: Bosso camp in fresh chaos over salary arrears

FRESH details emerging from Highlanders indicate that the club’s salary impasse is far from over, with players reportedly staging a sit-in protest after arriving for training on Wednesday, demanding payment of outstanding dues.

Initial reports had pointed to a return to normal training activities at the club’s White City base, with players said to have regrouped amid renewed assurances from leadership that efforts were ongoing to clear outstanding arrears.

However, fresh information emerging from within the club reveal that the players just warmed up, then staged a sit-in, refusing to continue with training until the club settles their dues.

According to the latest indications from sources close to the situation, the squad’s planned morning session did not fully materialise, with uncertainty lingering over attendance and whether the players engaged in structured training as expected.

The development highlights continuing instability behind the scenes at the Bulawayo giants, where issues around player welfare and delayed payments have repeatedly surfaced as a point of concern during the ongoing season.

This could affect the team’s preparations ahead of a clash with bitter rivals Dynamos on Sunday at Barbourfields Stadium.

While club officials are understood to be maintaining that engagement with players is ongoing and that efforts are being made to resolve outstanding obligations, the mixed accounts suggest the situation remains fluid and unresolved.
