The Harare–Kanyemba Road Construction Project is progressing well, with 18.3km of the dualised Harare–Mazowe section now complete and open to traffic.

Surfacing of the 3.7km stretch from the Boulevard roundabout to Blue Ridge (Prevail Shop) has also been completed and is ready for traffic.

The Harare-Kanyemba Road dualisation and upgrading project is a major infrastructure initiative by the Government of Zimbabwe to establish a 357km, high-efficiency trade route connecting Harare to Zambia and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) via a modernised Kanyemba Border Post.

As of early 2026, the project has gained significant momentum.
