If there is anything that the United States of America and its allies have managed to do is to deceive the world for selfish gains. Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe was placed under illegal economic sanctions on false pretences, Saddam Hussein of Iraq had his country invaded of false pretences, Muammar Gaddafi of Libya had his country shredded into pieces before he was murdered himself on falsehoods, Laurent Gbagbo and Charles Taylor, among others, are all victims of this unholy alliance.
Mugabe, by far the most articulate and the bravest African leader, remains on unjustified illegal sanctions to the point that even after emphatically winning the July 31 harmonised elections, the US and its allies still live in utter denial of the veteran leader’s political artistry that has left the Western-sponsored MDC-T party clutching on straws.
In all fairness, a just, realistic, honest and respectable world should accept that Zimbabweans still respect and love Mugabe and they should be left alone with him. Zimbabweans have suffered a lot from the sanctions, yet the US claims to love the Zimbabweans more than what President Mugabe himself does.
Is that not an irony? The US and its allies almost managed to have a military attack on Zimbabwe, had it not been for the ever alert Chinese and Russians, who vetoed the resolution at the UN Security Council.
Today, the US and its allies have their eyes on Syria but never think they have forgotten Zimbabwe, Libya, Cote d’Ivoire and Egypt, among others. They are taking those countries as secondary risks and Syria as a primary risk at the moment. It is the time and season to focus on this ancient country under the leadership of Bashar al-Assad, whom the Western world would want to see the back of sooner rather than later, of course employing the usual dirty tactics of a proxy war.
Till now, there is no convincing proof that the Syrian army actually used chemical weapons and many alert political scientist believe the issue of the chemical weapons is actually a smokescreen behind which US and its allies want to hide their regime change agenda.
It had to, especially after Barack Obama had drawn his mythical “red-line” which he long dared, hoped even, that Assad would cross. What is critical is that firstly, of all, because the proof should be accurate and convincing beyond doubt, instead of being based on rumours or the information received by special services as a result of some sort of eavesdropping.
Washington’s confidence that chemical weapons were used against insurgents in the area of Ghouta is very doubtful as there were no insurgents among the victims. Taking into account a “wind rose” of that area, directed from the East to the West, military experts specify that in the case of valid use of the chemical weapon the toxic cloud should have reached densely populated east areas of Damascus, causing numerous fatalities.
However it has not occurred. The representatives of the European religious organisations, implementing humanitarian operations in Syria, have recognised on video recordings lost children that had been earlier kidnapped by Islamic groups in the area of Alawi city, Latakia.
In addition there are also no scenes where victims were chaotically strewn around. On the contrary, bodies in a number of the presented materials were accurately laid in the premises and people who were presente there didn’t use any special protective suits.
It has emerged that the munitions at the site are traceable to Libya, where Russsia originally sold them, and through the darkness and carnage of the Western-sponsored war in that country weapons have been shipped to Syria.
They are now in the hands of the Syrian rebels.
The fact of the matter is that the alleged chemical weapons attack was stage managed, even poorly so, to justify US military action.
They wanted a cassus belli, reason for war.
The US does so, every time.
Many will remember the Gulf of Tonkin incident in 1964 in which the US stage-managed an “attack” by North Vietnamese “regime” as having, in the words of then President Johnson, “conducted further deliberate attacks against US naval vessels operating in international waters, and I had therefore directed air action against gunboats and supporting facilities used in these hostile operations.”
He said “the threat to the free nations of south-east Asia has long been clear” and the North Vietnamese regime “has constantly sought to take over South Vietnam and Laos.” It was a cause for war.
The US uses any trick in the book to make sure it spills blood, although this time around, may people saw through its deception and malice and decided to not to let the Devil run away with the Bible.
It was in Britain that lawmakers barred their leader David Cameron from pursuing this foolish adventurism, and adding to the groundswell of anti-war, the US plans derailed. As did with the timely intervention of Russia, which successfully lobbied for the containment and destruction of Syrian chemical weapons.
Perhaps all this is momentary. One fear that the worst may yet come after the US goes over its economic headaches. — DayAfrica.com
