US pushing wheels of misinformation against China on Uyghur

Herald Correspondent

When the US started its “pivoting East” policy, it was clear it was starting a rigorous campaign against China. Also, in its package against China, it is also using India as the front in its containment policy of China.

The arsenal by the US has all forms of lies, misinformation and disinformation campaigns against the world’s biggest economy based on the International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) purchasing power parity formulae.

And now, one of its strategies has been to hire people to spread lies of a genocide against the Uyghur population in Xinjiang region by the Chinese government. The US government has gone further to sponsor what it has framed as the World Uyghur Conference run by one Dolkun Isa.

Recently, Dolkun Isa, through his X (formerly Twitter) account apologised for his bad conduct towards not one, but several female employees. And also on his behaviour when he blocked one of the female employees who raised the issues in the public forum.

Despite the failure to treat women employees with fairness and offering an apology, mainstream international or western media deliberately avoided the story because it exposed their weapon they use against the Chinese government. This is a witness to the mainstream media lying by omission, and this lie was one of the biggest from May 13.

Uyghurs have no problem with the Chinese authorities. It is the US government that wants to use them to provoke instability in China, something they have declined and resisted.

They have commended the Chinese government for the enhanced security that they have, acknowledging that today they feel much safer, and that even their children and the elderly are living as any other Chinese national.

These people in their millions have confirmed to the rest of the world that Dolkun Isa is an unapologetic liar, whose pervasive narratives have threatened and also disadvantaged millions in Xinjiang.

Such lies, misrepresentations and distortions have affected the confidence of many Uyghur women, most of whom are probably devout Muslims, who have to put up with a man who admits pervasive actions and not suspended from the World Uyghur Conference, and himself is not ready to stand down from his position of leadership.

Strangely, global attention is diverted away from anything which might shed a negative light on allegations of such a terrible topic as genocide which Isa is a proponent on behalf of the US government to advance its narrative.

That one of the world’s leading proponents of awareness on a “genocide in China” has apologised for his bad behaviour, the plan to disinforming has not stopped. It is not that Western mainstream media have missed the apology by Isa, it is on their social media platforms like X, where they populate anti-China, anti-Russia or reflect any US adversary in a negative light.

What has to be noted is that, the Uyghur case is not similar to the Palestinian issue, this is a US fabricated genocide where not a single dead body has been seen; no mutilated children found; no photo or video evidence of bombing of refugee camps; not even a proven witness statement has been produced as evidence, corroborated and challenged. Therefore, this is as fake a genocide as is possible to find and Isa has appropriated himself the place as a necessary cog in the wheels of misinformation against China on behalf of the US.

Coincidentally, as Dolkun Isa’s misbehaviour became self-exposed, one of his acolytes, Timothy Grose, an associate professor of China Studies and supporter of the Uyghur genocide narrative, released a report suggesting that the poor people of Xinjiang are being forced to cook and eat Han type food and their own cuisine is being denied to them.

The idea is to frame an oppressed Uyghur people who need help from the US, to further escalate US hostility towards China and make the western population Sinophobic. But there is no evidence to suggest that there is oppression or persecution of the Uyghurs. It is unlikely for such signs to be missed, if there were any.

Therefore, the timeline of the entire process by Isa is very strange, as is the entire story itself. However, it most certainly should be something which attracts global attention.

It is certain that if there was such a story related to a Chinese official it would be all over Western media but against a man, according to news sources, is designated by China as an international terrorist it seems everything is fair play.
