FOOTBALL and netball consisting of healthcare professionals, members of the Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Service as well as the youth are set to compete in the Councillor Ignatious Khabo Sports Tournament in Inyathi on Sunday.
The sports tournament has been bankrolled to the tune of US$5 000 by ruling party politician and local councillor Cde Ignatious Khabo.
“The football and netball teams will share US$3 800 from the winning teams to consolation prizes. The teams will also receive kits, balls for soccer and netball that they will be able to use in future tournaments.
“President Mnangagwa directed Zanu PF leadership in our respective areas to lead in the fight against drug and substance abuse and in Ward 8 in Inyathi we are trying our best to keep the youth away from the scourge through sports tournaments and youth employment,” said Cllr Khabo.
Members of ZPCS will represent Inyathi Prison FC while healthcare professionals will play for Inyathi Hospital FC.

Mahlabathini FC, Mahlabathini United, Best FC, Inyathi Hospital FC, Inyathi Prison FC
Netball teams:
Inyathi Hospital, Best, Broom, Mahlabathini
