adminDazman Nyandoro (32), who were employed by Coal Zimbabwe, allegedly forged receipts of the company’s sales to make it appear as if they had delivered the said coal.
The two were on Tuesday arraigned before Harare magistrate Mr Donald Ndirowei charged with forgery.
They were granted US$200 bail each and will be back in court for routine remand on September 26.
As part of their bail conditions, the pair was ordered to report once a week to the police, not to interfere with State witnesses and to continue residing at their given addresses.
The State led by Ms Svodai Kadivirire told the court that sometime in April this year, Kasanhai, who was based at Coal Zimbabwe head office, was responsible for the selling of coal belonging to Beta
Coal, which is a subsidiary of Beta Holdings.
The two, acting in connivance, allegedly forged receipts for the coal sales, resulting in the company losing 3 450 tonnes of coal worth US$86 250.
