HOLIDAY is around the corner. Schools are closing and it’s time to plan about the holidays.
It’s not time to spend visiting friends and playing. Some students the day they close schools is the day that they also close their books.
This is not good at all.
Know the topics that you are going to be doing next term and read ahead. If you are to be given holiday work, do it during the holidays.
Prepare a study time table that you are going to follow. Use your time wisely and focus on your school work.
A lot happens during the holidays. Some end up partying, drinking, smoking and engaging in sex.
This is dangerous.
The time that you have at the moment is for you to concentrate on your school work. Your phone is good but use it productively. You should not always be online.
Have time for television and books. Balance your time.
Eat healthy and do some exercises to keep fit. Assist in household chores such as washing, sweeping, gardening etc. Don’t sleep late every night watching series.
Avoid visiting areas, which are not good for you. Being taken to lodges or betting is not good for you. Join your parents when they go to church. Prayer is good for you.
Avoid bad friends. It’s better to play with friends who are focussed. Friends that will encourage you to do school work. You can meet your friends and do discussions and revising.
These are the friends we want.
Exams are around the corner. October is not far away.
For those at primary and those doing Form One, Two, Three and Five, prepare as well, look at your report and work hard on those subjects that you didn’t do well. Establish solutions that will make you pass all the subjects next term.
Be determined to pass and make your parents happy. It’s not good to see the parents always complaining about you. Be a good child.
