UNIVERSITY of Zimbabwe men’s volleyball side continued with their dominance in the Harare Province League Pool A as they took their tally to nine points, in their backyard courts, over the weekend.
The Harare Province games entered the second week, with matches played on Saturday, and Sunday.
UZ Wolves collected maximum points, when they got the better of Support Unit, beating them 3-0, having also thrashed Pythons, by the same margin.
It took the side 76 and 68 minutes to collect the six points.
The other in-form team in Pool A, ZRP Mambas, who are sitting in second position, got the better of Support Unit 3-2 and Pythons 3-1.
The Police outfit had to endure 99 minutes, in their first game, before they needed another 85 minutes, to complete the win, over Pythons.
In Pool B, Harare City are the pacesetters, with nine points, after they beat second-placed Black Rhinos and Manyame Falcons. The Week Two rounds were played over the weekend and Harare City faced Rhinos, whom they beat 3-1 on Saturday. On Sunday they got the better of Manyame Falcons 3-0, before they rounded off the weekend by beating Chitungwiza 3-0.
Rhinos, who lost their opening match, bounced back on Saturday afternoon to beat Chitungwiza 3-0, before notching up another victory, over Manyame Falcons.
