However, in recent seasons it has had several changes in its plots and storylines, leaving a lot to be desired. It seems as if the drama series is slowly gaining its spark back after being hit by a mass exodus of its star-studded cast in the last sessions.
Dawn Thandeka King, who starred as MaNgcobo, dumped the drama series in the eleventh hour, and her exit saw a host of actors like Siyabonga Shibe, who starred as Qhabanga, follow suit. Lead actors like TK Dlamini and Fikile Mchunu also joined the bandwagon. However, in the wake of this mass exodus, it seems like it’s now refreshing its lineup with viewers’ favourites.
Bonga Dlamini’s return will see the revival of Mkhonto’s on-screen character. n their latest teasers, the showrunners revealed that they would be tagging their prodigal son back after six years. We didn’t see this coming, and the showrunners seemed to be pulling all their magic tricks. Like , the show strives to remain relevant.
The bubbly actor was axed from the drama series after he was implicated in an alleged on-set affair with Dawn Thandeka King, who starred as MaNgcobo, came to light. In recent years he has rubbished the alleged reasons behind his exit. His storyline will ruffle some feathers along the way. Rumour mill has it that his storyline will revolve around Nosipho’s pregnancy storyline. Against all the drama, and Bonga Dlamini have kissed and made up.
However, MaMlambo will also be making her much-talked-about return on small screens. Gugu Gumede will be heading back to KwaMashu after she went awol on-small screens. With these two latest additions, we can’t wait for drama capped with thrills. MaMlambo will pop up in KwaMashu for the first time after she was almost arrested in connection with drug dealing, which also implicated Khathide. Confirmed reports have it that they have since joined the set and have started shooting their scenes.
