Vandal nabbed in the act

LUCK ran out for a Honde Valley man after he was caught red-handed vandalising a power transformer on Friday night.

National police spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the arrest.

“The Zimbabwe Republic Police confirms the arrest of Innocent Mwadii (24) for vandalism of key infrastructure.

“The suspect was apprehended on Friday, August 7, 2026 around 10:30pm while vandalising a ZESA transformer in Manzero Village, Honde Valley,” he said.

Commissioner Nyatgi said police recovered two bolt cutters, a small DC grinder, a torch, pair of pliers and pieces of copper cable from the suspect’s travel bag.
