VCPH receives US$62 000 medical equipment

VICTORIA Chitepo Provincial Hospital this morning received a donation of medical equipment valued at US$62 000 from Zimbabwean doctors based in Australia.
The donation, aimed at strengthening healthcare delivery at the provincial referral facility, was facilitated by Celebration Health and the Higherlife Foundation.
The equipment includes essential items to support patient care, diagnostics, and routine clinical services, marking a significant boost to the hospital’s capacity.

VCPH medical superintendent, Dr Hilary Makiwa welcomed the donation, highlighting its impact on service delivery.
“We are extremely grateful for this generous contribution. This equipment will go a long way in improving the quality of care we provide to our patients and enhancing the efficiency of our clinical operations. Support like this reinforces our commitment to delivering better healthcare for the people of Manicaland,” he said.
