Veremu optimistic

FC PLATINUM veteran defender Daniel Veremu believes that his side has what it takes to make a big impression at home and on the continent this year.

The Zvishavane side are in pre-season training ahead of the start of their Caf Confederation Cup campaign.

They have been in camp for the past two weeks and spirits are high after they finished strongly last season under coach Norman Mapeza.

Crucially, they managed to retain most of the players from last season, including highly-rated Zambian forward Obrey Chirwa, and have added three new faces — Emmanuel Mandiranga, Brian Muzondiwa and Wellington Kamudyariwa — to the team.

Muzondiwa, who impressed in the colours of Black Rhinos last year, is tipped as one of the players to become the stars of Zimbabwe football soon.

Veremu said they signed very good players who will add value to their team.

“We are getting there bit by bit, the new players who were added to our team are young but with a lot of potential,” he said.
