Vice President Chiwenga at Iran Expo

VICE PRESIDENT Dr Constantino Chiwenga has toured the Iranian Exhibition Centre, where Tehran is showcasing its products as part of measures to demonstrate its export potential.

Dr Chiwenga is in Iran, where he is leading a Zimbabwean delegation attending the Iran-Africa Economic Conference that seeks to enhance greater cooperation between the Asian country and the African continent.

The conference is being held alongside the Iran Expo, which was officially opened by Iranian President Mosoud Pezeshkian this morning.

Earlier on, VP Chiwenga attended the official opening of the Iran Expo.

Defence Minister Oppah Muchinguri-Kashiri, other senior Government officials and representatives of the private sector, accompanied him.

VP Chiwenga later toured various exhibition stands for products that include medical equipment and electrical appliances, among others.

In an interview, VP Chiwenga said Zimbabwe has vast room for collaboration with Iran.

He is accompanied by Mines and Mining Development Deputy Minister, Engineer Caleb Makwiranzou; Industry and Commerce Deputy Minister Raj Modi; Lands, Agriculture, Water, and Rural Resettlement Deputy Minister David Marapira; and Higher and Tertiary Education, Innovation, Science and Technology Development Deputy Minister Simelisuzwe Sibanda.
