THE trial of Jacaranda Media Group co-founder Charles Guvamatanga, who is facing rape charges, continued yesterday with the accused denying the charges.
The victim, who told the court that she was sexually assaulted by Guvamatanga twice, said she did not scream for help for fear of his imposing statue.
In response, Guvamatanga through his legal team denied the charges.
He said the complainant is fabricating the charges.
Guvamatanga initially appeared in court in April for allegedly raping the victim after meeting at a dinner in Belgravia, Harare.
The matter allegedly came to light after the victim told her sister, who then took her to a local clinic where they were advised to file a police report, leading to Guvamatanga’s arrest.
Guvamatanga is presently out on bail.
